Code Academy is an online platform that offers coding classes. It is interactive and quite easy to follow, and it will allow you to discover the basics of Ruby. The course for Ruby is completely free of charge, and you can find it here:
Code Wars
Code Wars is also an interactive online platform, and we highly recommend you take a look at it when you know the basics of Ruby. It works with a system of challenges, and you will be able to compare with others. The goal is not really to be the best competitor (you can), but more to learn from others.
After the completion of a challenge (and only then), you will be able to see the best answers and maybe some coding practice you wouldn't have think of on your own. This will allow you to step up from the basics, and discover better quality code.
